creative. passionate. engaging.

With stints at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and at one of New York’s most renowned restoration workshops, Kelly McDonald has forged the type of design career most people only dream about. She’s been an apprentice gilder, a painter of 17th and 18th century European furniture, and has worked alongside luminaries in the fields of interior design and antiques. She even opened her own atelier in San Francisco, where she was commissioned to deliver work for the Sultan of Brunei.

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Kelly also knows architecture. She has an eye for undervalued properties, and since 1993, she and her artist-designer-builder husband have restored dozens of homes for themselves, friends, and clients. In 2005, they discovered a cluster of forgotten mid-century modern homes designed by the legendary Edward Hawkins, and once again brought them back to life.

Kelly’s experience across multiple design platforms brings fresh perspective to the challenges of real estate. Better still, her love of hard work and passion for solving problems drive her to continue the lifelong process of learning, giving, and serving.
