An easy way to revamp and refresh your home is by simply switching up your home’s color swatch.

If you’re not up for the suggestion as mentioned above, consider just a little concealer instead. Smudges, marks and peeling paint can be quickly and easily covered up, which revitalizes a home.

impart pleasant scents

Please repeat after me: smells help you sell. One of the oldest tricks in the book is filling your atmosphere with pleasant scents. Our sense of smell is powerful, and we associate scents with memories. Trigger positive, happy memories during a walk-through with some of these summer-inspired suggestions: zesty citrus, fresh mint, blooming flowers, clean linen or sweet berries.

Now is the perfect time for spring cleaning. Store nonessentials out of sight to keep the environment open and inspiring.

In some cases, it’s best to leave the home presentation up to the professionals. Home stagers are interior designers on steroids. Whether a home is vacant or occupied, stagers come in and embellish homes with a neutral style that appeals to the masses (i.e., potential buyers).

On average, staged homes spend half the time on the market compared to un-staged homes.

Over 83% of buyers find it easier to visualize the property as their future home when it is staged.

Almost a third (28%) of buyers are more willing to overlook property faults when the home is staged.

In a NAR Profile of Buyers, 84% of buyers reported the photos to be the most useful information. Those images carry more weight than facts like square footage and the number of bathrooms.
